Mazarine Blue
Cyaniris semiargus
Males are dark violet-blue above, females plain brown. A good identification feature is the grey-brown underside with a row of white-ringed black spots but no orange marginal spots.

- Caterpillars feed mainly on red clover, and also on other clovers and tufted vetch.

- In Germany one or two generations: the first flies from about early May to August, a partial second one in August.
